November 27 is one of the most important dates in history of Georgian Sport and Olympic Movement. Tbilisi is fighting for hosting European Youth Olympic Festival 2015. On November 27, European Olympic Committee will decide which city, Tbilisi of Brno, will host the festival.
Brno is fighting for it since 2007. Trabzon will host the festival in 2011 and Dutch Utrecht - in 2013. Let us hope, that Tbilisi will host the festival in 2015.
The committee will start working in Serbia on November 26. Participants of congress will listen to the speech of EOC president Patrick Hickey, also reports of organization committees of London (2012) and Rio de Janeiro (2016) Summer Olympics and Sochi (2014) Winter Games.
First candidate cities of Winter 2015 - Sarajevo (Bosnia) and Austria-Liechtenstein (joint statement) will make their presentations for Olympic committees of European 49 countries. Then candidates of Summer Festival Tbilisi and Brno will make their presentations.
Part of Georgian delegation, including president of GNOC Gia Natsvlishvili, first vice-president Ramaz Goglidze, vice-president Davit Gobejishvili, adviser of president Emzar Zenaishvili, director of "Tbilisi 2015" presentation Davit Doiashvili and others left for Serbia today at dawn.
Tbilisi Mayor and chairman of organization committee Gigi Ugulava, duet "Georgia" who will sing a special song about Tbilisi and other members of the delegation will leave for Belgrade later. Results of voting will be known at 16:00 Tbilisi time on November 27.
