Judoka Zurab Zviadauri said goodbye to active sport for the second time and finally. Olympic champion of Athens 2004 joined coalition of “Georgian dream” several days ago. Today he told “World Sport” about ending his sport career.
“My heart aches that I could not use my possibilities. It is difficult to end up sport career and I convinced in it last January when I left judo at Sports Palace. Injuries did not let me train and I started coaching to stay in judo. Working with boys made me want to wrestle on tatami and after treatment, I returned to sport. I trained in the last months, wrestled at tournaments but you cannot imagine how it hurt. I made several surgeries and took rehabilitation process. That is why, I made difficult decision for the second time. I am forced to do it. I am very disappointed. I thank fans for their love and support. As for my way, I thought a lot about it. I am sure, I made the right choice. I will be able to support Georgian judo and whole sport with this step. There were so much injustice around me lately, I could have done either way”, - stated Zviadauri
