Everything was OK before Final

 

Amiran Papinashvili member of Georgian national judo team ended Abu Dab Grand-Prix with silver medal and gained 120 ranking points. Wrestler in 60kg weight category is in the fifth place in world ranking. He was seeded as No.2 at this following tournament. Beslan Mudranov representative of Russia who was seeded as No.4 became champion.

 

As a rule, the first and the second seeds were in the different pools and they could not wrestle against each other till the final. Final really was logical, wrestler who has the high ranking beat Mudranov.
There were 15 participants of 60kg weight category and the tournament started from the quarter final. Georgian wrestler (60kg) beat Ziade Damien (Lebanon) and American Nikolas Kosor with ippons and went through the semi-final, where he wrestled against Mongolian Amartuvshin Dashdava and beat him in 5 minutes.
Today champions and prize-winners were found out in 66kg weight category. Jacob Gazdeliani represents Georgia in this weight category, but he lost at the beginning of the tournament with Japanese Masashi Kodera.
Tomorrow champions and prize winners will be found out in 73 and 81 weight categories. Javakhadze will represent Georgia. He will start competition from the 1/8 final, his opponent is Brazilian Viktor Penalber. In case of victory, he will wrestle against Swedish Robin Patsek.
On October 13 Zvidad Gogochuri and Varlam Liparteliani will wrestle. Traditionally, Gogochuri will wrestle in 90 kg weight category and Liparteliani in 100 kg weight category.

As far as you know, champion gains 200 points at Grand Prix, wrestler who takes the second place gains 120 points, bronze winner 80. Loser wrestlers at the first stage also gain points.
