Today, disciplinary commission of Georgian Basketball Federation discussed the beating fact of referee Maka Kupatadze by Besik Lejava (MIA) in ¼ final match of Georgian 20th national championship.
Disciplinary technical commission gave one year and half disqualification to Lejava. So, he will not be able to play till January 1, 2013.
Besik Lejava apologized for his behavior. As for Kupatadze, according to Gia Mikadze, head of DTC, she is at hospital for treatment.
Besides that, according to MIA, the team agrees with the decision of DTC and fines Lejava with 5000 GEL. Levan Mikaberidze, president of MIA, stated about it to Georgian Basketball Federation.
