The main part of the national football championship 2011 has ended up. On December 22, current champion and “Merani” will play in Martvili and all Georgian teams will have winter holidays. In this round, Martvili hosted titled team and won. Yes, it is true – “Merani” defeated 13-time champion of Georgia “Dinamo” Tbilisi 2:1. The team of Alex Garcia has lost 4 times but has never been dissatisfied with refereeing.

Merani - Dinamo

Local fans were looking forward to the visit of “Dinamo” in Martvili. The host head coach did not change the main staff. As for the Spanish head coach, he had to make two changes. Loria and Xisco could not play because of disqualification.

According to the web site of “Dinamo”, the guests had advantage at the beginning of the match. Alvaro and Jigauri played actively. Referee showed yellow card to Robertinho because of simulation. Soon, Brazilian player had a chance to show himself but he missed it.

Goal was scored at the 27^th minute – Yague scored goal. After 10 minutes, Robertinho got injury while playing against Anzor Sukhiashvili. Brazilian midfielder was substituted.

The hosts played actively at the end of the half. First Giga Ambroladze shot the ball and missed it. Then, Lasha Chaladze did the same.

In the middle of the second half, Lasha Silagava appointed penalty in the goal of “Dinamo”. Giorgi Mantskava could not score it – goalkeeper parried it. After that, the hosts scored two goals in two minutes – first Valeri Iobashvili equalized the score. Then, Munin Tape scored a goal of victory – 2:1.

After the match, Alex Garcia made the following statement:

“We controlled the match in the first half. We scored goal and made many goal moments. In the second half, the referee appointed penalty while offside and the first goal was like artificial free kick.

Coaching staff prepares the team for playing against opponent not against referee. I though I had relationship with serious people – today, what linesman did it was laughing at football players. If foreign coach of “Dinamo” is a problem, let them say and I will go today”.

“Torpedo” had advantage at the end of the half. Active playing of Guram Samushia is worth mentioning. He could have scored goal at the 27^th minute but missed it.

The guests scored goal at the beginning of the second half. Tornike Tarkhnishvili advanced “Torpedo” – 0:1.

Soon, Gotsiridze scored another goal but a linesman showed offside. “Torpedo” played actively but could not show itself again. But the hosts did it. At the 72^nd minute, Nika Apakidze scored a goal – 1:1.
