After defeating Romania 80:64 in the first round of Euro-2013 qualifying, “Crusaders” will hold the next game against leader of Group D, Bosnia. This game will be held on August 21.

In the first round of Group D, Bosnia won over Latvia. Two days ago Bosnia beat Holland 107:89.

“World Sport” talked to Davit Ustiashvili, assistant of head coach Igor Kokoskov of Georgian national basketball team.

-         Are you satisfied with play of Georgian team?

-         We won but we made many mistakes in the first half. We will work on them.

-         What mistakes do you mean?

-         There were mistakes and positive side too but I will not name them.

-         Tornike Shengelia, the most perspective from the Georgian basketball players, always plays so well that 9-9 point-rebound in one game do not satisfy us anymore…

-         Shengelia did not play well in the first half but he played better in the second one. Never mind, it happens to more experienced basketball players than Shengelia. It is known that even strong sportsman cannot always play on high level. Of course, Shengelia is not an exception.

-         Injury of captain Zaza Pachulia worries the Georgian basketball players. Will Pachulia be able to play against Bosnia?

-         I cannot say anything yet. One day is left till the game against Bosnia.

-         When will you leave for Bosnia?

-         This morning, at 09:30 by charter flight.

-         Are some changes planned in the team?

-         All 14 basketball players will depart for Bosnia. The head coach will name 12 on the day of the game.

-         What can you say about Bosnia?

-         It is a very strong team. Bosnia is a leader of Group D.

-         Besides being an assistant of head coach, you are also head coach of “Kutaisi-2010”. Is there any news in the team?

-         Giorgi Tsekvava left the team and we added Buba Kvimsadze. He returned to the team after one year. Yet, there is no news in “Kutaisi-2010”.
