Tomorrow Georgian national basketball is awaiting a crucial clash in Bulgaria. Like us, Bulgaria has achieved two victories and suffered one defeat in Group C. They are behind Georgians on point difference, however. Today morning Georgian delegation has arrived in Sofia, where hotel “Triada” was chosen as a place where to stay at. After that, one of the team’s coaches David Ustiashvili had a free time which he spent talking to a Georgian basketball federation website representative.
- How is the mood of the team?
- We are ready to battle. Victory is on everyone’s mind. The boys are ready to take on the opponent.
- Are you resting?
- We arrived early in the morning and yes, everyone is resting. We traveled to Bulgaria through Germany, so the boys need to rest for some time. In the evening we are planning to have relatively light practice. We don’t want to overload our players.
- What time are you planning to practice tomorrow?
- As usual, before the game we will have short practice which is scheduled at 11 in the morning. Main priority will be practice of ball shooting.
- Was there any interest towards you upon your arrival?
- There were a couple of journalists who recorded us on camera. Possibly, they are going to broadcast recorded video on the local TV news.
- Are you satisfied with the conditions provided by the Bulgarian side?
- So far, we are satisfied with the conditions provided by the Bulgarians.
- During the game against Belgium there were a number of Georgian fans in the stands. Are you expecting Georgian fans in Bulgaria as well?
- We do not have any information about it. Perhaps there will not be any Georgians, since there are not many Georgian fellows in Bulgaria.
- What’s your pre-match expectation?
- Nothing much I can tell you. It is tough to play away in Bulgaria. Victory is real, if the boys will follow head coach directions. Everything will be visible on the floor.
