Begi Darchia, head coach of Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team, named the staff which will participate in European Championship. Georgian team holds the last training for European Championship in Dusheti. 3 days earlier before the end of the meeting, Darchia held control wrestling and found out leaders of each weight class.

“Anton Mamageishvili will wrestle in 66 kg, Lasha Gogitadze – in 55 kg, Revaz Lashkhi – in 60 kg, Manuchar Kvirkvelia – in 74 kg, Mate Sopadze – in 84 kg, Soso Jabidze – in 96 kg and Dimitri Javakhishvili – in heavyweight. Vladimir Gegeshidze (84 kg) has almost guaranteed participation in European Championship but he got injury and we had to make change. Sopadze is bronze medal winner of Georgian Championship and he will have debut at European Championship” – Begi Darchia told “World Sport”.

European Championship will take place in German city Dortmund on March 29 – April 3. On March 29-30, freestyle wrestling team will wrestle on the match. March 31 and April 1 will be for women and Greco-Romans will end up the championship on April 2-3.
