Two chess tournaments started in Texas University, which is situated in Dallas (United States) and three Georgian chess players participate in it: Tamaz Gelashvili, Giorgi Margvelashvili and Mariam Danelia.

Giorgi Margvelashvili played draw with Leonid Kritts in the first round of symbolically called “Grandmasters Tournament”.

Tamaz Gelashvili defeated Arthur Safini with black pieces in the “Masters Tournament”. Mariam Danelia lost to Alexander Lender.

In the second round Margvelashvili will face Holt, Gelashvili – Lebed and Danelia – Geita.
