On January 23 TSSU and “Batumi” opened Cup of Georgia 2012 at the gym of Basketball academy. The match ended in favor of TSSU – 88:72. Nemanja Ilic earned 25 points for TSSU, as for “Batumi”, Akaki Dvalishvili scored 13 points,16 rebounds and double-double kick. Irakli Mikeladze and Lasha Keshelava who scored 21-21 scored were distinguished in “Batumi”.
It is newsworthy that all the eleven clubs competing at Super League will participate in this following tournament, because participation is compulsory. According to the tournament schedule, top 7 clubs – “Armia”, “Kutaisi”, Olympus”, “Sokhumi”, MIA, GTU and “Dinamo” will play in quarter final and start competition on January 25. As for others – TSU, TSSU, “Batumi” and “Rustavi” will fight for going through quarter-final on January 23-24. The strongest teams from these four teams will fight against “Armia” on January 25.
At 14:00 o’clock starts the match between “Rustavi” and TSU.
