Chrikishvili and Tsiklauri Treated Injuries

 

Avtandil Chrikishvili and Levan Tsiklauri, members of Georgian judo team, will leave for Japan tomorrow morning and will continue training with the team in Tokyo. Judokas of 81kg were injured at Prague World Cup on February 26. That is why they could not participate in Asian meeting on time.

“Both judokas are on form. Tsiklauri treated his knee and trained 4-5 days in Tbilisi. Chrikishvili had a hand problem and needed more time for treatment. Nothing is serious and they will participate in trainings in Tokyo”, - Giorgi Aleksidze, president of Georgian Judo Federation, informed “World Sport”.

Peter Seisenbacher, Austrian head coach of Georgian team, left for Japan with 14 judokas 10 days ago. The meeting will last till March 17. On March 18, Georgian team will move to South Korea and will stay in Seoul for 10 days.

The team of Seisenbacher will hold two other meetings before European Championship which will take place in Chelyabisnk, the city of Russia, on April 26-28. The first meeting will be held in Germany on April 1-7 and the second one – in Mongolia on April 9-17.
