The board of Georgian Chess Federation named the staffs of women’s and men’s teams for European Team Championship. The following chess players will play in men’s team: Baadur Jobava (2712), Mikheil Mchedlishvili (2623), Levan Pantsulaia (2614), Merab Gagunashvili (2577) and Davit Zarkua (2443). Khvicha Supatashvili will be head coach. Giorgi Giorgadze will be captain of the team.

The following chess players will play in women’s team: Nana Dzagnidze (2525), Lela Javakhishvili (2464), Nino Khurtsidze (2440) and Nazi Paikidze (2412). The fifth member will be found out in the tournament. Sophiko Khukhashvili (2426), Nino Batsiashvili (2413) and Salome Melia (2396) will participate in it. Zurab Sturua will be head coach of the team. Tamaz Gelashvili will be his assistant and Nino Gurieli will be captain.

European Team Championship 2011 will be held in Porto Carras on November 2-12.
