Chess festival “Nona Cup 2010” which is held since 2000 finished. The tournament was hosted by Chess Club NTN, which is located in Youth Palace of Tbilisi.
Festival caused big interest. 36 chess players from different generation competed in this tournament. All representatives of Georgian men and women team beside Nana Dzagnidze, Baadur Jobava, Tamaz Gelashvili and Merab Gagunashvili competed in this festival.
Chess festival “Nona Cup 2010” contained 9 rounds. 3-3 among men and women and one prize winner found out in 16 year-old players. Nani Unapkoshvili champion of Georgia was the best among 16-year-old players and she gained 5 points.
Levan Pantsulaia and Mikheil Mchedlishvili members of Georgian National team gained 7-7 points. Former member of national team Davit Arutinyan also gained 7 points.
Sophiko Khukhushvili and prospective player Ketie Tsatsalashvili members of Georgian National Team gained 6-6 points and took 1-2 places. Salome Melia and captain of National Team, Olympic Champions of many times Nino Gurieli gathered 5-5 points. But according to additional index Gurieli had better result and took the 3^rd place. She was awarded with prize-money. Other prize-winners also were awarded with money-prize.
