Georgian Chess Federation expresses its deep concern over the death of Elena Akhmilovskaya, one of the best world grandmasters of 80’s.

Akhmilovskaya lived in Tbilisi for many years and played for Georgia. Akhmilovskaya won Olympiad twice (1978, 1986) and played for world champion title in 1986.

In her last years Elena was busy with educational activities in Seattle, the USA.
