Today, before the start of the second circle of Georgian XXI National Championship, management of Super League held a press conference at Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs. Giorgi Zabakhidze, executive director of Super League, led the press conference:

“As you know, the second circle of the national championship starts on February 3. I want to inform you with some changes. From now on, after the game the teams are obliged to show up in the press conference hall of Sports Palace and to answer questions of journalists during 10 minutes. If a player or a coach does not show up, he will be fined with 100 GEL because Super League became a successful project and comment of basketball players is important. It is worth mentioning that fans can also attend the press conference. Besides that, web site of Super League has been renovated. You can see results of previous games and last 3-4 seasons. Also, there are renewed photo gallery, player profile and database. There is an English version of the web site and video portal where games of the championship will be uploaded”.

Kote Tugushi, head coach of “Armia”, answered questions of journalists: “There are a lot of changes in the teams. The teams became stronger. So, a very interesting and tense second circle is ahead. We were considered as favorites though we expect difficulties from future second circle. As for injured players, Guillermo Diaz and Giorgi Sharabidze resumed training. Captain Zviad Babiashvili is still injured. We can add one player but we are observing our opponents and after that we will make a decision. We expect danger from any team of Super League”.
