Chance of Medal is Lost

 

World Universiade 2011 is coming to an end in the city of China, Shenzhen. Five Georgian chess players participated in it but none of them have chance of getting in top 3.

After six rounds, Nino Batsiashvili (2381) was among leaders but she took only 0.5 points in two games and is in the 9th place with 5.5 points. Nino is one point behind leader Irina Vasilevich (2367, Russia).

Maka Purtsaladze (2381) is in the 12th place with 5.0 points and Sophiko Guramishvili (2329) is in the 23rd place with 4.5 points.

Chinese Chao Li (2669) became champion among boys. He earend 7.5 points within 8 rounds and is 1.5 ahead of his opponents.

Davit Benidze (2514) is in the 12th place with 5.5 points. Luka Paichadze (2489) has 5.0 points and is in the 19th place.

The last round of Universiade will be held on Sunday.
