Tbilisi Cup 2012 between U-14 and U-16 girls and boys, which is European Junior tour is to be end. The tournament is hosted by tennis academy courtsnamed after Leila Meskhi, which is situated in Marjanishvili street.

There were 120 participants from eight countries (Georgia, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Belarus, Ukraine, Russia, Greece) in this competition.  Singe tournament finished today. Mariam Bolkvadze (No1) and Ana Akhalkatsi (No.2) played against each other in decisive fight. Unexpectedly Bolkvadze managed to beat rival in two sets very easily 6:3, 6:3 and as a result took the first place.
Georgians had chance to win another gold medal among U-16. Ekaterine Lasareishvili (2) lost with Alina Zubkova (Belarus) 6:&, 2:6 and took the second place.
Today the most dramatic was the match among U-16 guys, between Stefanos Tsitsipas (No.1) and Dimitris Stravropolus (No.3), both of them were from Greece. It was the only match when was necessary to hold three matches. Finally Tsitsipas won the match 6:3, 4:6, 6:4.
As well as in U-16, in U-14 also was final among patriots, this time, Russian tennis players played against each other. Russian Pavel Kotov (No.3) beat Davit Norakidze (No.8) who comes from Georgia but represented Russia at this tournament (2:0, 6:3, 6:4).
Double finals and award ceremony is held tomorrow on June 17.
