One round before the end of Mongolian tournament, Chinese Yifan Hou (2577) has the best chance to win the 5th stage of FIDE Grand Prix. She beat host Batkhuagn Munguntuul (2421) and is a leader with 7.5 points.
Winner will be found out between Yifan and Antoaneta Stefanova in Ulaanbaatar. Bulgarian is 0.5 point away from Chinese and she will play with white pieces in the final match.
The 10th round was unsuccessful for favorites Indian Humpy Koneru (2600) and Russian Tatiana Kosintseva (2562) who were beat by Chinese Xue Zhao (2462) and French Marie Sebag (2519).
Chinese Chen Zhu (2476) defeated a 5-time world champion Maia Chiburdanidze (2514). Georgian chess player still has 5.5 points and is in the 6th place again. Maia will play with Chinese Shen Yang (2435) with white pieces in the final round.
According to the results of previous stages Nana Dzagnidze is leader of Grand Prix with 390 points. She has participated in 3 tournaments (Chiburdanidze has only 85 points). Hou also has 320 points in the results of 3 stages, Kosintseva collected 290 points in 2 tournaments. Hou as well as Kosintseva (she refused to play in the last stage) are playing last stage in Mongolia and have the last chance to overtake Dzagnidze. Nana has a chance to increase her points at the tournament in Chile.
The situation of first five chess players looks like this: 1. Nana Dzagnidze - 390 points (within 3 tournaments); 2. Yifan Hou - 320 (3); 3. Tatiana Kosintseva - 290 points (2); 4. Xue Zhao - 240 (3); 5. Humpy Koneru - 230 (2).
All participants play 4 tournaments of Grand Prix and show 3 best results. Winner chess player of total points will win a right to participate at the World Championship in the last quarter of 2011.
Prize of each tournament is 40 000 EUR. Points and money will be divided by places the following way:

III place: 100 points + bonus 10, 4 000
IV place: 90 points 3 750
V place: 80 points, 3 500
VI place: 70 points, 3 250

The best 9 participants according to six rounds of Grand Prix will be rewarded the following way:
