Chakhnashvili - Mikadze in Final Match

 

This year finalist players of Batumi Oil Terminal Open are Georgians as well as last year. Maka Chakhnashvili and Tatia Mikadze will play in the decisive match.
One year before Oksana Kalashnikova became winner of this tournament, she beat compatriot Sopho Shapatava in final match. This time Kalashnikova lost in semi quarter with Mikadze and as for Shapatava she lost with Maka Chakhnashvili in semifinal.
In semifinal match Georgian tennis player Mikadze (289) played against Hungarian Reka-Luka Jan (319).Before semifinal Mikadze won over Manana Shapakidz (471), Zuzana Zlachova (Slovakia, 405) and No.1 player of the tournament Oksana Kalashnikova (189) and as for Jan she beat Katarzyna Kawa (Poland , 572), Alyona Sotnikova (Ukraine, 480) and Aleksandra Sasnovich (Belarus, 882).
The match between Mikadze and Jan was equal. Hungarian sportsman activated in the last games of the first set, won 7:5 and advanced 1:0. But after that Jani looked like tired, Mikadze used it, won two sets and went through the final.
Tatia Mikadze (Georgia) Reka-Luca Jani (Hungary) 5:7, 6:3, 6:2.
Tense much was among Shapatava and Chakhnashvili. There were held three sets for founding out the winner.
Before semifinal Chakhnashvili won over Ekaterine Gorgadze (Georgia, 570), Sophiko Kvatsbaia (Georgia, 398) and Julia Glushko (Israel, 350) and as for Shapatava she beat Natela Dzalamadze (Russia, 745), Barbare Eristavi (Georgia, without rating) and Veronika Kapshai (Ukraine, 328).
In these matches No.2 Chakhnashvili advanced. In the second set Shapatava managed to take revenge and drew 1:1.The most tense was the third, extra set. Chakhnashvili won 7:6 (3) and went through the final. Maka Chakhnashvili (Georgia) – Sopho Shapatava (Georgia) 6:3, 4:6, 7:6, (3). The final match of Batumi Oil Terminal Open is held at 12:15, on October 3.
