Caucasian Medals

 

 

The future generation of Free-style wrestling team has returned from Armenia and Azerbaijan with a lot of medals.  
There was held U-19 championship in Yerevan, where teams from Tbilisi, Kutaisi and Adjara participated in.
The sportsmen from Tbilisi, who were trained by Tengiz Gambashidze and Elguja Kobesashvili, gained 1 gold and 5 bronze medals.  Buchia Apkhazishvili (120kg) gained gold medal, Lasha Abutidze (50kg), Giorgi Revazishvili (60kg), Tariiel Gaprindashvili (66kg), Levan Muradkhanashvili (74kg) and Mikheil Kekelidze (120kg) took the third places.
As for Kutaisi team (trainer Ramaz Chachkhiani) returned with two gold and 3 bronze medals. Omar Gurjidze (66kg) and Giorgi Bregadze (55kg) the current champion of World and prize winner of European championship became champions, Giorgi Shengelia (84kg), Saba Dekanoidze (84kg) and Davit Lolashvili (96kg) became bronze medal winners.  Adjara team (trainer Marad Arzenadze) gained 1 gold and 3 bronze medals. Husein Iremadze (96kg), Ramaz Darchidze (55kg), Shota Partenadze (60kg) and Davit Ungaidze (74kg) champion of European youth championship and prize winner of world gained bronze medals.
 At the same time, there was tournament in Ganja too, but among seniors.  Georgian team gained one gold-silver and 6 bronze medals. Zviad Metreveli (96kg) wrestled very well and became champion. Giorgi Lobjanidze (66kg), Ilia Khutsishvili, Dimitri Basilashvili (both of them 74kg), Otar Urotadze (84kg) and Mirian Burduli (120 kg) took the third places.
