Bolnisi Almost Fell Asleep

 


21st round of the national football championship was held and one team is added to members of play out. After losing to “Dila”, “Wit Georgia” which is in the 8th place is unreachable for “Gagra”. “Merani” has worsened its condition after losing to “Metallurg”.

Merani - Metallurg
After 2-year pause, Sevasti Todua played for the Rustavi team. Irakli Sikharulidze, former player of “Wit Georgia”, played in the main staff for the first time. He equalized score at the 75th minute. Giorgi Tekturmanidze, another debutant of “Metallurg”, showed up on the field. Giorgi Kavtaradze scored a decisive goal and his team won – 1:2. It happened in the second half. The first half ended up with victory of the hosts. Munini Tafe scored goal at the 27th minute. Tafe and Giorgi Mantskava of “Merani” have scored 6-6 goals.

It was 4 matches in a row which the team of Malkhaz Zhvania could not win.

Nothing special happened on the Bolnisi field – goal was not scored and no one was booked. Next round “Sioni” will visit Rustavi and will play against “Metallurg”.

After 4 rounds two outsider clubs fall down in first league in XXIII Championship. An the club which will win the 8th place will play against the third place-owner and in case of win will remain in the first league.
Clubs which will take the 16th and the 17th places will leave First League. These clubs will be replaced by winners in West and East zones of Second League.
