2:0 – “Dinamo” Tbilisi won home match of the first qualifying stage of Europa League with handicap. The team of Alex Garcia made a big step toward the second stage where Welsh “Llanelli” is already through.
This was the first match of Alex Garcia as head coach of the club.
There are many players in “Dinamo” who have no experience not only at European Championship but also at the national championship – these players are Jambul Jigauri and Irakli Lekvtadze. Both held a good match. Lekvtadze even scored goal.
At the 5th minute, “Dinamo” took a corner kick and Nika Kvekveskiri scored goal – 1:0.
Many spectators thought “Milsami” would have lost with big difference though it did not happen. It seemed that players of “Milsami” did not know how to end up attacks. Their forward Gheorghe Boghiu attacked “Dinamo” but fell down and Moldovans took only a free kick.
At the 22nd minute, Robertinho, player of “Dinamo”, shot the ball but goalkeeper of “Milsami” threw it on corner. After that, Claudio Ionescu kicked the ball but it missed the goal of Loria. At the end of the half, Aleksandre Koshkadze shot the ball but missed it.
After the break, “Milsami” started active and fast playing. “Dinamo” held the second half better. Lekvtadze played more actively. At the 52nd minute, Brazilian player got in penalty area, shot the ball but the goalkeeper caught it.
Alex Garcia substituted Robertinho with Giorgi Tekturmanidze.
And the goal. At the 71st minute, “Dinamo” scored goal. Lekvtadze scored it.
We will name Nika Kvekveskiri as the best player of the match – he scored very important goal and made goal assist.
After the match:
Stefan Stoica: “The team which was stronger won the match. “Dinamo” owned the ball better. We had some moments in the first half but could not score goal. It is very important to score goal in away match and I am sad that we could not manage it. Anyway, I am satisfied with my team, we still have chance and will try to use it”.
Alex Garcia: “We were nervous at the beginning of the match. Perhaps, it is because that it was the first official match. The boys did their best and we did not play badly. Of course, there were some mistakes and we will improve them”.
