The following 15 basketball players are left at National Basketball meeting: Giorgi Tsintsadze, Lasha Parghalava, Anatoly Boisa, Lasha Gamkrelidze, Levan Patsatsia, Haynes Marquez, Manuchar Markoishvili, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Viktro Sanikidze, Tornike Shengelia, Nika Metreveli, Vladimer Boisa, Zaza Pachulia, Giorgi Shermadini and Giorgi Sharabidze.
Mikheil Beriashvili has already left this meeting and came back in Georgia, last year he was called up for National Team also but could not manage win the place in the main staff. Kote Tughushi became a manager of National Team and that’s why he does not train with the team, as for Green Taurean, who is still suffering the trauma and having rehabilitation now. But his return in National Team in the nearest future is not excluded. Merab Ratishvili general manager of National Team stated about this:” Green is still suffering a broken toe, which he injured in the previous season. He could not manage to train with Georgian National Team, but it must be said that he is recovered.  On august 8 he will have medical check in Chicago clinic and if doctors allow him he will join the team”.
Georgian National Team leaves for European Championship with 12 players. “FIBA-Europe has changed a decision and shortened the number of players, instead of 14 players teams are represented with 12 ones. FIBA made the decision that the teams, which want to compete at Olympics have to obey this rule. FIBA-Europe also took this rule and the teams leave for Lithuania with 12 players”- stated Ratishvili.
