Berianidze Won Bronze Medal

Georgian Wrestling Team finished World Wrestling Championship which was held in Moscow with two bronze medals. Giorgi Gogshelidze (96kg) and Levan Berianidze (120 kg) managed to win bronze medals. Georgian wrestler had debut in this weight category this year, he won 4 matches from 5.  After beating Vladislav Bartnik of Poland, Marid Mutalimov of Kazakhsatn and Farid Masum Valid of Iran he went through semi final. In semi final he could not beat Biliam Makhov of Russia and went through repechage where he beat Daniel Ligeti of Hungary in three sets. Today champions and prize winners will be found out in 66 and 74 weight categories, but members of Georgian Team lost chance of winning medals in the first stage, because those who beat them also could not go through the final. Otar Tushishvili (66kg) beat Brent Harold Metkalf of The U.S.A. could not beat Batzorig Buianiavi of Mongolia and as for Gela Sagirashvili (74kg) could not beat Methiu Gnetry of Canada. Sevensome of Zaza Turmanidze gathered 21 points and took the 5th place.
