Benidze Leads U-20 Championship

Georgian U-20 Chess Championship is underway at the Kutaisi Chess School named after Maia Chiburdanidze.

The fifth round was held today. Davit Benidze is leading boys’ championship with 4,5 points. Irakli Janiashvili is half point behind the leader. Davit Lomsadze is in the third place with 3,5 points. Unlike the boys, three girls are leading the girls’ tournament. Keti Tsatsalashvili, Meri Arabidze and Ana Shamatava are sharing the 1st-3rd places with 4-4 points. Salome Khajomia is in the 4th place with 3,5 points.
