Georgian National Basketball Team is to compete at international tournament “Euro Jam Countdown” in the city of Holland, Almeria on August 12. Besides host team, Georgians will play against Israeli and “Villanova” the club of NCAA.  

According to the official web-site of Georgian Basketball Federation Georgian National Team left for Almeria with 14 basketball players. Nika Metreveli was playing for Georgian National Team for three years and but now he was released. After returning of Vladimer Boisa there was big resistance for forward position. As a result of it Metreveli was released from the team for some time.

Tomorrow Georgian National Team holds the first match against Dutch National Team, next day against Israeli team and it holds the last match against “Villanova” on August 14.

 The following players are preparing for this tournament:

Point guards: Giorgi Tsintsadze, Giorgi Gamkrelidze,  Haynes Marquez, manuchar Markoishvili, Anatoly Boisa, Lasha Parghalava.

Power Forwards: Tornike Shengelia, Vladimer Boisa, Levan Patsatsia, Nikoloz Tskitishvili, Viktor Sanikidze.

Centers: Zaza Pachulia, Giorgi Shermadini, Giorgi Sharabidze.
