In Tbilisi, at Lelila Meskhi Tennis Academy courts, located at Marjanishvili Street started Future rank international tournament, which prize money is 15 000 USD.
It is newsworthy that 7 Georgian tennis players started competition in qualifying round of this tournament, but none of them managed to go through the main draw. Only two of them managed to win two matches, because they played against compatriots in the first round.
Giorgi Revazishvili beat Luka Pilpani 7:5, 6:0 and then lost with No.4 seed Ukrainian Yuri Krivoy 3:6, 5:7. As for Karen Sarkisyan, he beat Lasha Ramazashvili 6:4, 7:5 but lost with Alexandr Zhurbin (No.2 seed) – 0:6, 1:6.
Nodar Itonishvili lost with Italian Etore Chapelo 0:6, 5:7, Erekle Klimiashvili lost with Ukrainian Orest Tereschuk 1:6, 1:6 and Davit Kvenradze beat Ukrainian Olseksi Arovin 6:3, 2:6, 7:6 (7:4).
Aleksandre Metreveli and Giorgi Tsivadze started competition from the main draw, and other four tennis player Nikoloz Basilashvili, Shota Meparidze, Mikheil Khmiadashvili and Giorgi Javakhishvili were given “Wild Cards”.
It worth mentioning that Basilashvili is in the 357th place in ATP ranking, at the official web-site of this organization the country where he is from is written Russia, as for the web-site of International Tennis Federation, it still calls Basilashvili as representative of Georgia.

At the international tournament, ongoing in the city of Holland, Alpen (prize money 25 000 USD) Maka Chakhnashvili lost with host Chayen Eviik 6:7 (5:7), 6:3, 4:6. Sopho Kvatsabaia one of the winners of qualification plays against No.2 seed Romanian Mihaela Buzarnesku.
In Italy, in the first round of the international tournament ongoing in Mestres (prize money 50 000 USD) Sopho Shapatava plays against Dutch Richel Hogencamp, in doubles tournament Georgian tennis player and Russian Marina Melnikova plays against No.4 seed American-Danish duet (Koen-Eidesgaard).
