French tennis player Marion Bartoli admitted that she was close to failure against Anna Tatishvili in the first round of “Ronald Garros” which is underway in France. As a result of big support from compatriot spectators Bartoli managed to mobilized and finally beat Tatishvili.
Bartoli who is in the 11st place in world’s ranking won over 21-year-old Tatishvili who was in the main wrap of Grand Slam first time(1:6, 6:2, 6:1). After this match Bartoli gave an interview to official web-site of “Ronald Garros”.
“Now I feel better to be honest with you, but I started playing in such way that, even my nightmare would be better. I would not think such bad start even in my worst nightmare. After finishing the first set, I told to myself to forget everything and play in such way as if score was 0:0. Fortunately, I managed it to do. I started playing well, but I could not play as well as I did at Strasburg tournament, progress was clear. I am satisfied I managed to go through, failure was really quite possible. I showed my possibilities to everyone. At the beginning of the match Tatishvili was playing without any mistake. As for me I did all the stupid things as it was possible. Spectators’ support helped me very much. They were supporting in any kind of situation and I that’s why I did not give up and did my best for winning this match”.
