Ballot is Held in Paris

 

 
On February 4-5 centre of World judo will be in Paris. The capital of France hosts Grand Slam. The most prestigious tournament has never lacked judo stars and exception is not tis year too. Judokas will fight for license points for London Olympic at this following tournament. Champion gains 300 points, silver - 180 and bronze -120 points.
Georgian national judo team arrived in France with 8-man staff. Head coach Peter Seisenbacher took one judoka in each category (60, 66, 81 and 100 kg). In 73 kg he did not call up any judoka and in 90 and +100 kg he named two-two sportsmen. The ballot was held and was founf out that judokas from 97 countries will wrestle at Grand Slam.
On Saturday champions and prize winners will be found out in 60, 66 and 73 kg weight categories and on Sunday in - 81, 90, 100 and +100 kg weight categories.
Amiran Papinashvili (60 kg) starts competition in the third circle in 1/16final. Shalva Kardava (66 kg) starts competition in the second circle in 1/32final. Avtandil Chrikashvili (81 kg) starts the tournament in 1/16 final.
In 1/32 final Zurab Zviadauri (90 kg) wrestles against Mongolian Enkhbar Erdenebileg and if he beats him, he will wrestle against Lithuanian finalist of Tbilisi World Cup - Carlos Bausa. In this weight category Varlam Liparteliani starts competition in 1/26 final. 
 In 1/32 final Levan Zhorzholiani (100 kg) competes against Xose Almenteros from Cuba. Zviad Khanjaliashvili (+100 kg) also starts competition in the same stage. As for the second Georgian heavy-weighter, champion of Tbilisi World Cup Adam Okruashvili starts competition in the 1/32 final against Mohamed Motie of Egypt.
