On November 27 is planned presidential election in Georgian Chess Federation, it seems that Gia Giorgadze will be without opponent. Acting president of Georgian Chess Federation is supported by most people. Famous Georgian chess player Zurab Azmaiparashvili expressed support to him. He stated special statement about future elections.
“ I am honored to state my position about upcoming presidential election, which will be held on November 27”
It is three years since our country has been overcoming crisis and situation has been becoming stable. The best example of it is Georgian Chess Federation, which has much progress. Country’s stability reflects on such sphere as chess is. I am sure that stability of our group and friendly relations is very important.   
I am sure that the current president of Georgian Chess Federation is example of stability and political wisdom. That’s why I am for him and I am sure that Gia Giorgadze will do his best our group to be united and Georgia to have its role in international chess.”
