You are supposed to know that from October to November 5 is planned to hold Tbilisi Foursome Tournament, where will compete U-21 teams from Georgia, Brazil, Argentine and U-20 team from Uruguay. Brazilian Pele’s visit is also on an agenda. It project of Niko Patrakalishvili who has close relations with South American football society. He held press-conference about planned tournament and Pele’s visit in “Old Metekhi” Hotel.
Gela Ketashvili former player of “Dinamo” Tbilisi and Olympic Team of the USSR is new member of arrangement headquarter of this tournament. Beside Patarkalishvili and Ketashvili, Pele Guruli also attended the press-conference.
Niko Patarkalishvili:“We have already said that was going to send letter about this project to the president of Georgia. Without helping government, it will be difficult to host South American teams and Pele. President’s administration has received our letter and sent it to Ministry of Sport and Youth Affairs. Tomorrow we will meet representatives of ministry and have a talk”.
Patarkalishvili added that had talk about this tournament with head of the Georgian Patriarchate Press Office Davit Sharashenidze, fulfillment of this project will help finishing of the monastery complex in Makhata Mauntain.   
“We are glad that The Georgian Patriarchate liked our idea. The motto of foursome tournament will be “Football against Addiction”. We had negotiations with several companies, “Caffee Pele” is among them. This tournament will bring big prestige to Georgian football and we will make better relations with South American countries in other fields also”.
According to Patarkalishvili, there is plan to establish Georgian-Argentine Football Academy and the head of this academy will be Gela Ketashvili. Main office of Academy will be in Tbilisi but it will have branches in several cities In Georgia. Those cities are the following: Batumi, Kutaisi, Poti and Telavi.
“Argentine coaches will work in this academy as well as Georgian ones. These coaches will be chosen by Cesar Luis Menotti, who is former head coach of Argentine National Team in 1978 and 1982 during World Championships. Argentine won the first championship when he was the head coach of the team”.
Gela Kvitashvili:” As for us we did our best to realize this project, not its turn to our government. They can make big present to Georgian football fans”.
