Davit Arutinyan (2578) International master competed very well at 10th Rochefort Open tournament which was underway in the city of France, Richerfort. He gained 6.5 points in 9 rounds and was behind Iuri Solodovnichenko (Ukraine, 2577) with one point. Alesey Barsov (2498) of Uzbekistan took the third place with 6.0 points. It is worth mentioning that there were 44 participants at this competition and 20 of them were international masters.
Arutinyan left for Cappelle-La Grande and joined Levan Pantsulaia (2610), Malkhaz Sulashvili (2497), Bela Khotenashvili (2440) and Nino Batsiashvili. All of them are to compete at 27e Open International de Cappelle-la-Grande.
570 chess players of 40 countries participate at this competition and 100 of them are international masters. Kishnan Sashikar (India, 2690), Sergey Jigalko (Belarus, 2671), Pentala Harikrishna (India, 2667) and Iuri Krivoruchko(Ukraine, 2640) are the most famous among the participants.
In the first round only Pantsulaia managed to win among the Georgians, as for Batsiashvili, Arutinyan and Khotenashvili they draw.
