International grand master Davit Arutinyan won Rapid-tournament which was underway in the city of the Czech Republic, Olomouc. 64 chess players from 9 countries participated in this tournament, which included 7 rounds according to Swiss system. Davit Arutinyan and Aelksey Gavrilov (Russia) shared the I-II places.

Traditionally, Olomouc Chess Summer 2011 - Valoz Cup turnaj GM – 1 was held before rapid tournament among 10 chess players. Davit shared the second - third places with Eduard Andreev (Ukraine) with 6 points from 9.  Czech grand master Stefan Zilka won the tournament with 6.5 points.
