After winning Georgian Championship and Cup, “Army” beat MIA, finalist of Super Cup, 79:63 and ended up season 2010-11 with three prizes.

It is worth mentioning that “Army” did not participate in Dudu Dadiani and Zurab Sakandelidze-Mikheil Korkia Memorials. The team had chance to win all 5 tournaments.

Georgian Basketball Federation named Levan Moseshvili, head coach of “Army”, as the best coach. Unlike the best coach, journalists, coaches and commissars named the best basketball player and three places were shared this way:

1.      Kote Tugushi (“Army”)

2.      Giorgi Sharabidze (“Army”)

3.      Lasha Pargalava (“Sokhumi”).

As for Zviad Mikadze prize (basketball player who died tragically), Giorgi Sharabidze won it.

MIA had great loss in this match. “Army” did not have central forward Davit Ugrekhelidze. MIA did not have two leading players, Troy Cotton and forward Giorgi Markoishvili.

As it was expected, the match started with advantage of “Army”. Captain Kote Tugushi played actively. He collected 18 points in the first half. MIA tried hard but could do nothing against its opponent.

It is worth mentioning that “Army” was leading the match. In the 4th quarter the difference was 21 points (69:48) in the favor of “Army”. Kote Tugushi, player of “Army”, collected the most – 25 points.
