“Armia” Tbilisi champion of Georgia and winner of Cup, did not give up Georgian Sevens Rugby Championship too. The team which is created since last year, finished sub-group stage without scoring any try against them, as for them , they gained 161 points and only one try was scored against them in play-off match.
Only semi-final match was tense for “Armia”, they played against “Lokomotivi” and scored three tries in response of one. In final their rival was “Batumi”, which beat “Kochebi” in a very tense match 17:14, but in decisive match they could not manage to beat “Armia” 43:0. “Lokomotivi”, which won over “Kochebi” - 15:7 took the third place. “Khuligana” took the fifth place.
In a word, Georgian Rugby season 2011 finished. Hope that sevens rugby championship as well as 15-s rugby tournament will be better next year.
