Arabidze Completed the World Championship at the 11th Place

 

Meri Arabidze (2379) showed the best result in the World Youth Championship, which was under way in Kocaeli, Turkey. In the final round she played draw with Iranian Sarasadat Khademalsharieh (2303) and took the 11th place with 8.0 points.

Ana Kuchava (2092) is 0.5 points behind Arabidze. In the 13th round Ana won over Sabina Ibrahimova (2202) of Azerbaijan and took the 23th place.

Alexandra Goriachkina (2418) won the Champion’s title with 10.5 points, the 2nd was Jansaia Abdumalik (2277) of Kazakhstan with 9.5 points and the bronze medal won the representative of Russia, Alina Kashlinskaia (2434). She earned 9.0 points.

In the men’s tournament, Yangyi Yu (2662) of China celebrated the victory with 11.0 points, Alexander Ipatov (2601) of Turkey and Santosh Vidit (2565) of India followed him with 10.5 and 9.5 points.

As for the Georgian Zurab Javakhadze, he lost the final round to Tomas Laurusa (2398) of Lithuania and took the 42th place with 7.0 points.
