Anti-Nicotine Campaign Starts in Judo Academy

Vladimer Vardzelashvili, Minister of Sport and Youth Affairs visited Georgian judo academy and met Georgian national judo team which has just returned to Tbilisi from European championship. Vardzelashvili congratulated them success which they achieved at mentioned tournament.

Until making official comments Minister talked with sportsmen beyond the closed door. After the meeting, Vardzelashvili introduced new initiative, which connects to making propaganda of healthy life-style and anti-addiction campaign.
“Judo team gained a very important victory at European championship. This tournament had double meaning for us, because it was underway in Russia and it is remarkable that either individual or in team finals Georgians beat hosts of the tournament. First of all I would like to thank coaching board and of course sportsmen, who were very motivated. Olympic Games are ahead us and new team has last stage of preparation process.  To my mind judo will be one of these kinds of sports where we will have good result. The main goal of today’s meeting was summarizing European championship, but this meeting is symbolic. Ministry of Sports starts campaign against cigarette for settling healthy life-style. It will be good if the whole Georgia will involve in it”-stated Vadzelashvili.
