Anna Tatishvili, Georgian top seed held a demonstrative training for participant tennis players of “Tbilisi-2015” at tennis academy named after Leila Meskhi. In 2 -3 days, 22-year-old sportsman with Sofiko Shapatava and Sofiko Kvatsabaia leave for Cairo (Egypt), where they compete at Federation Cup on April 17-21.
Leila Meskhi(president of Georgian tennis federation):” Anna has been in World’s top 100 for a long time. Now she is No.85seed and has a real chance to gain license for London Olympic, that’s why her arrival and relationship with young tennis players sis very important. I would like to mention that, these children whom Anna gave a master-class today are preparing for international tournament. Since April 23 this mentioned competition is to be held in this academy and young players from 18 countries will participate in it.”
Irakli Samkurashvili (deputy of minister of Sport and Youth Affairs of Georgia):”arrival of the player of top 100 is a big stimulus for young players. This year, Ministry of Sports and Youths Affairs start program for developing school league and Anna will be one of the faces of Georgian school sport- in direction of tennis”.
Anna Tatishvili(tennis player):” as for training I had a great fun. They are very lovely children and play very well. As for future plans, in two days I leave for Cairo- Federation Cup. I am prepared well and to my mind, I will compete well. After that I will fight for license of London Olympic. 6 tournaments are left before Olympic Games and if I advance till the 65th position, I will guarantee license”.
