Aleksidze Goes! Chocheli Comes?

In the next few days Georgian Judo Federation will have a new president and the national team – a new head coach. Yesterday Gia Natsvlishvili, president of Georgian National Olympic Committee, confirmed this information at the press conference – Aleksidze will not participate in the upcoming elections. Nobody talks about Seisenbacher though as we found out it is already decided to substitute Australian specialist with Georgian coach.

“I will write a resignation statement in the next few days – I will apply to executive committee of the federation to satisfy my request. Then congress and elections will be held. I am resigning on my own will. Last year I stated that I would resign after the end of the Olympics and would return to business. But before that Georgian judoka would become champion in London. Fortunately, it happened. I could not pay attention to business while being president of the judo federation. It was my project to bring foreign coach and this project has ended up. I cannot say if the federation will offer Seisenbacher a new contract. It will not be my decision to make” – Giorgi Aleksidze told “World Sport”.

According to the rumors, Tsezar Chocheli will become a new president of the federation. He is a vice-president now.
