Georgian Greco-Roman wrestling team successfuly competes at traditional tournament named after Dan Kolov and Nikita Petrov in Sofia. Begi Darchia head coach of national team took optimal staff there and after two days of three-day tournament Georgian team has 5 medals - 2 gold, 1 silver and 2 bronze.
Vladimer Gegeshvidze (84 kg) and Soso Jabidze (96 kg) became champions. Manuchar Tskhadaia (74 kg) lost in final, Zurab Datunashvili (74 kg) and Sandro Daikhaminjia (96 kg) took the third place.
According to the preliminary plan, Manuchar Kvirkvelia World and Olympic champion had to wrestle in 74 kg weight category, but he wrestled in 84 kg and lost at the begining. Revaz Nadareishvili (84kg), Sergo Gogisvanidze and Guram Perseladze (both of them 120 kg) stayed beyond top three.
On February 5, on the final day of the tournament Kemal Kharabadze (55kg) and Paata Bakuradze (66kg) members of Georgian national team will start competition.
