Kobiashvili Looks at His Chances Optimistically

Levan Kobiashvili said in the interview with the official website of “Hertha” that he is going to be a president of GFF in 2015.

-What is your goal for the next year? It is known, that you are going to be the president of Georgian Football Federation…

-The year of 2015 will be very interesting for me. I made this step and running for the presidency. However, let’s see what happens in the end, can I win the elections or no. I am optimistic and I hope that I can do this. In any case, I will remain devoted to football.

-You had a long career. What is the main reason of spending so much time in professional football?

-I am grateful to all those who supported me. Fortunately, I have never taken a severe trauma and I have not finished my career prematurely. It is difficult to play in bundesliga at the age of 36 or 37, but I managed it. The reason for this is my playing role, professionalism, people’s support – in club or in family.

-What role does “Hertha” have in your life?

-I am grateful to the club, as it allowed me to work after the end of my career. This is the proof that we worked well during the years we passed together. I would like to thank the club’s president, manager, the team and the coaches, who supported me for so long.

-What do you miss in daily life?

-Of course, I miss football. It goes without saying that professional life on the field and outside is different. Despite the fact that I am not person who loves being in the center of attention, there is nothing good when people recognize you in the street. Also, giving autographs and taking pictures. I miss it.

-How often do you meet your former teammates?

-I still have a good relationship with the players. We see each other almost every day. From time to time, I attend practices. During the home matches, I am always at the stadium and support the team.
