Georgian champion Giorgi Nikolaishvili gained a brilliant victory (6 points from 7) at the traditional tournament in the capital of Russia, Moscow.
Giorgi had the same result as Azat Kanani (Azerbaijan) and Aleksandr Velikanov (the USA). But according to the additional data, he became champion.
Nani Unapkoshvili, Georgian 6 and U-20 champion, had the best result among girls.
At the individual and team tournament Georgian representatives won twice in a row. Latvian chess players won silver medal and the USA team gained bronze medal. Swiss-system tournament included 7 rounds and 58 chess players from 34 countries participated in it.
