Georgian seniors and youth sambo team won 3 gold and 3 bronze medals on the first day of World Championship.
Giorgi Katsia (60 kg) and Shmagi Sharipashvili (75) became champions among seniors. Leri Jikhvashvili (48) won bronze medal. Katsia beat Belarusian Sergei Ushivets in the final. Sharipashvili beat Russian Georgi Korev.
Vakhtang Sarajishvili (82), member of youth team, won gold medal by beating Ukrainian Iuri Skripal. Givi Nadareishvili (48) and Giorgi Tabatadze (62) took the 3rd place.
According to the results of the first day, both age teams are leading the championship.
