Two Georgians are left in the second league of France: goalkeeper Giorgi Makaridze of “Le Mans” and defender Amiran Sanaia of “Bastia”. “Bastia” won National League in the last season.

Makaridze was in the main staff against “Cretei”. The match ended up 2:2. All four goals were scored in the first half. Then, Gabonese Didier Ovono substituted Makaridze.

Sanaia played the second half in Corsican derby. The match of “Bastia” and “Ajaccio” ended up 2:2.

There was a time when Makaridze and Sanaia played for Georgian national team together. It was before Temur Ketsbaia became coach of “Crusaders”.
