The second elite rugby division Pro D2 of France starts  at this weekend, on August 25. Unprecedented number of Georgian legionaries start participation in this tournament. There are 16 clubs in Pro D2 and Georgian legionaries play for 9 of these clubs. Their number reaches to 21.
Most of them play for “Albi”. Vakhtang Akhobadze, Giorgi Tetrashvili, Kakha Koberidze, Vakhtang Maisuradze, Aleksandre Todua are members of this club. In the previous match becides Akhobadze all of them played.
There are four Georgian players in “Tarbes”, those are the following: Giorgi Chkhaidze, Davit Dadunashvili, Irkli Mirtskhulava and Giorgi Nemsadze.
“Brive” which could not keep place in Top 14 will participate in Pro D2. As far as you know, Davit Khinchigashvili, Irakli Natriashvili, Goderdzi Shvelidze, Karlen Aseishvili, Levan Datunashvili and Giorgi Natsarashvili will play for “Brive” in this season.
Davit Ashvetia and Shalva Sutiashvili will play for “Massy”, which joined Pro D2 from Federal 1. Veteran Georgian player Tariel Ratianidze joined “Dax” from “Lyon”. Guram Kavtidze still stays for “Lyon”, which left Top 14. Beka Sheklashvili joined “Beziers” from “Agen” (Top14) and Elizbar Kuparadze will play for “Colomiers”.
