Georgian national wrestling federation summarized 2011 season in wrestlers’ club. At the last press-conference of the year, besides authority of federation there were Gia Galdava deputy of minister of Sports and Youth Affairs, Davit Gobejishvili vice-president of National Olympic Committee and coaches of both style of wrestling teams.
“I am not really satisfied with results of our wrestlers in last season. It is clear, that totally they had successful results. We are the only one Olympic sport, which managed to win gold medal at big tournament, I mean Revaz Lashkhi Greco-roman style wrestler, who became European champion, In two kind of wrestling we gained 5 licenses for London Olympic Games and next year we will gain several licenses too. Our goal for 2012 is gaining gold medal at Olympic Games. It is very real and I believe that Georgian wrestlers will do their best at London Olympic Games”- stated Kakha Getsadze.
 President of federation underlined success of age team and stated, that there is very good new generation. Cadet and Youth teams gained 39 medals in 2011, 8 gold,13 silver and 18 bronze medals.
