Anorthosis Famagusta officially confirmed Jano Ananidze’s transfer. The Georgian player has signed a contract with Temur Ketsbaia’s team until the end of the current season.
Jano spoke to the club’s website and said that Ketsbaia played a big role in his decision. According to the Georgian football player, he will spent 100% to help the team.
“I am very happy to be here, because at some point in my career, my goal was to play in another league and I would do it in a great team like Anorthosis. So, I especially thank the coach for giving me this opportunity. Temur Ketsbaia talked to me about the goals and philosophy of the team, so I made that decision. Despite the fact that I had a few suggestions, I chose Anorthosis and I am happy with it.
The main reason was Temur Ketsbaia, besides I have been in Cyprus many times with Spartak at the preparatory period and I know a lot about the country, the weather, the people, general life and good food. Our goal is to win a title. Anorthosis is a great team that fits my goals.
I will do everything for my team, I will spent 100 %. I will try to show the maximum of my potential on the field”, - said Ananidze.
Recall that Jano Ananidze will play beyond the Russian Premier League for the first time in his career. Until now, he has only played for Spartak, Rostov and Krylia Sovetov.
