Nikoloz Basilashvili beat Guido Pella of Argentina in the first round of China Open. The Georgian will face Stefanos Tsitsipas of Greece in the second round.

Last year Nikoloz beat Pella in four sets at US Open. Two sets were enough this time. The match lasted an hour and 44 minutes and Nikoloz won 6:4, 7:6 (7:3).

Basilashvili is a defending champion. Last year he defeated Juan Martin del Potro of Argentina in final.
