Varlam Liparteliani (100 kg), captain of the Georgian judo team, won Paris Grand Slam for the third time.

In final the Georgian judoka beat Aaron Wolf of Japan by waza-ari.

Before the final Liparteliani defeated Wei Puyang of Thailand by waza-ari, Daniel Dichev of Bulgaria by ippon, Alexandre Iddir of France by waza-ari and Guham Cho of South Korea by waza-ari.

The Georgian team finished Paris Grand Slam with 4 medals. Vazha Margvelashvili (66 kg) won silvermedal, Temur Nozadze (60 kg) and Lasha Shavdatuashvili (73 kg) won bronze medals.
