In Italian Basketball championship, as a result of Viktor Sanikidze’s brilliant playing, “Canadian Solar Bologna” won over “Montepaschi”-78:69 in Serie A round 33 match, Georgian forward who scored the 12nd double in this season, has chance of gaining MVP title.
Traditionally Sanikidze was in the start five and during 34 minutes he scored 16 points, 15 rebounds, 3 block-shots and 1 assist. Viktro scored all the four two-point kicks, 2 three-point kicks from 4 and 2 penalty kicks from 3. He gained 2 personal fouls and the opponents were given 4 personal fouls. He did not lose the ball. It is remarkable that, “Canadian Solar” won the first circle match over “Montepaschi”(75:71), “Vika” was the best with 10 points and 19 rebounds in that following match too.
This time Sanikidze’s coefficient was 34, which was the best result in the previous round. Georgian basketball player was the most distinguished in rebounds, so naming him as the player of the round should not be surprising.  His competitor is Linton Johnson of “Sidiga Avelino”, who gained 18 points and 18 rebounds (coefficient 35), but it must be taken under consideration that he did well against “Chimberio Vareze” which is quite weaker than “Montepaschi”.
